My name is Barminov Ivan Alekseevich, or simply Ivan. I am a doctor with two specialities: psychiatry and psychotherapy. In addition, I have a psychoanalytic education.

My medical education is in ‘medical practice’ at the Tula State University, internship ‘psychiatrist’ at the Moscow State Medical Stomatologic University, primary retraining at the People Friendship University of Russia as a psychotherapist and annual training according to state standards.

My main psychoanalytic tuition includes three years of professional retraining called ‘psychoanalysis, psychoanalytic psychotherapy and psychoanalytic consulting’ at the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis, personal analysis, supervision and one-year participation in the group of psychoanalytic psychodrama. At the moment I am taking a long-term professional development  in psychoanalytic training.

I am a member of the following professional societies:

1. ECPP (European Confederation of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy). You may check the list of accrediting organisations of European Association for Psychotherapy here.
2. Russian Balint Society.

I do love my job and think that the human personality in all its manifestations is the most interesting subject for observation and learning. I wish to work constantly on its development!
